Why SaluCare is the only choice for total healthcare...
SaluCare is the premier provider of rehabilitation and preventive care in the La Crosse area. We are one of the only therapy sources that offers comprehensive treatment to heal both mind and body. We use integrative therapies to treat every aspect of your health to keep your system in harmony.

Our emphasis is on treating the cause of your pain, rather than just providing temporary relief. We want you to have lasting results. So we take the time to accurately diagnose your problem areas and teach prevention.

And we work with you as a team, using comprehensive care to help you reduce and control your pain, increase flexibility, and heal from injury. Our dedicated staff will help you gain a solid understanding of your condition and your treatment for fast results with lasting relief.

At SaluCare, we will devise a personalized therapy program that includes acombination of therapeutic exercises, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, trigger-point therapy, and educa¬tion to help you achieve optimal health. And we take the time to analyze your program so that you remain on the path to recovery.

For nearly 30 years, we have helped hundreds of patients restore their health and get back to their previous lifestyle. And we can help you, too. Our staff includes specialists in the areas of child, adolescent, adult, and senior-citizen issues.

We are conveniently located at 2600 Ward Avenue off the south end of Losey Boulevard in La Crosse. This gives you access to the most advanced therapy and technology available. Flexible scheduling allows us to see you when you need us. We are open weekdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with alternate hours available by appointment.

With the growing number of people who take care of individuals who are intellectually and emotionally challenged or disabled, you probably know someone who is a primary caretaker, or you are yourself. Maybe you care for someone who has advanced Parkinson's disease, has had a stroke or traumatic brain injury, or suffers from mental illness. You may have concerns arise regarding their decreased physical ability and/or changes in their ability to make decisions.

SaluCare has developed a program that will help determine their safety and give you peace of mind. The sound clinical judgment of an occupational therapist will help determine their safety and pinpoint the degree of support  necessary in order for them to maintain as much
independence as possible. We do this by administering a number of tests that include (but are not limited to):

  • Cognitive screens such as  SLUMS & ACI
  • Cognitive performance test & routine task inventory tests their ability to perform simple tasks, like reading a medicine bottle, accurately.
Our occupational therapists administer these tests in a simulated home environment to ensure privacy and a relaxing atmosphere. After close observation and one-on-one interaction, we are able to make written recommendations based on the results. These recommendations include precautions regarding physical safety, impulse control, and judgment, suggested environmental modifications, as well as supervision requirements. We are careful to ensure the independence and dignity of the individual by emphasizing and supporting their remaining abilities.
This entire evaluation can be billed to your insurance or Medicare and will take up to a maximum of three hours. If you are worried about the safety of a friend or loved one who is living alone, please call and schedule an evaluation.
